Active Tissue Tension: ATT (Active tissue tension)

Anterior to Posterior: AP (View of investigation or direction of pressure of treatment)

Assessment: Ax (Assessment of a client to ascertain information regarding their pain/ache/injury)

Cervical Spine: Cx (Seven Vertebra of the cervical spine)

Complains of: c/o (The initial statement of the client referring to their pain/ache/injury)

Connective Tissue: CT (Connective Tissue)

Digital Ischaemic Pressure: DIP (Using digits to apply constant pressure to a focal tissue)

End of Range: EOR (A joint at the end of its anaomical cpabilities to move)

Extension: Ex (Extension of any joint)

External Rotation : ER (External Rotation of any joint)

Flexion: Fx (Flexion of any joint)

Fracture: # (Fracture of bone)

Friction: Fn (A technique applied in a rythmical back and forwards motion to decrease hypersensitivity or mobilise CT)

Hip Extension: HE (Hip Extension)

Hip Flexion: HF (Hip Flexion)

Longitudinal Glides: LG (Digital gliding techniques used with lubricant)

Lumbar Spine: Lx (Five vertebra of the Lumbar spine)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging: MRI ()

Massage: Mx (The laying on of hands)

Motor Vehicle Accident: MVA (Abbreviation used by insurance companies and health practitioners)
